Polzeath Beach House

Hotel was so clean and lovely! The room next to me was being renovated but the workers said they were only working between check in and check out times which is amazing for a hotel to put that much thought into their upgrades! Other hotels I have been to wouldn’t think of this! The staff were friendly but unsure on some of the procedures for when my key didn’t work and the training seemed like with the new facilities there were a few faults but please do not let this put you off! Almost perfect experience and I am sure on my return one day I will be able to upgrade this

We love staying here and visit every year. The staff are always really friendly, the restaurant serves great food and the beds are very comfortable - always a good night's sleep after days spent walking the coast. It's so close to the beach and a short walk over to the shops. It's always perfect for us no matter what the weather might be up to!

Absolutely stunning location and finished to a very high standard. Staff very attentive and obliging. Our room was faultless and to our satisfaction. The price bracket suited the service and venue . Overall we were very content and would definitely consider returning. Well done guys good job Dean and Orla

We did an early November break here. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The food and service in the restaurant is fabulous. The views are amazing! The coastal walks were stunning. Even the decor is nice. We look forward to coming back!

Fantastic staff, helpful, friendly. Chef fab. Great with my gluten free coeliac vegetarian diet. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff. Great coastal path hikes, fantastic beach walks, great location. Only problem, the light came through the side of the window, which made the room quite light at night. Maybe a bigger fitting blind would help. We had a room around the back. Food yummy!

Fabulous setting to watch the sunset over the sea. Great service with a smile. Clean rooms, a little on the small side but have everything to enjoy a comfortable stay.

John, the Manager is truly a lovely accommodating guy. Jo in housekeeping, had the room ready early for us so that we could check in, settle, relax and enjoy the magic of this place without the wait. Beach towels are complimentary, the bed was very comfortable, the towels lovely and soft, and the amenities in the room are a nice touch. Slept like babies as the room was so quiet, always a good sign. Attention to detail is visible, really feels 5-star quality. The food was incredible and a complimentary coffee to start the day was tremendous. Waves, here we come. Surf shack is a great addition although, our wetsuits were still wet in the morning, no probs though, brought them into the bathroom to dry off completely and we are good to go. The shower leaked onto the bathroom floor a little, and one light fitting didn't work but the little things did not impeach our stay. Definitely coming back, again and again, can't wait. Positives: friendly staff, clean and modern room, which was a good size and comes with (somewhat expected) coffee station, TV, mini-fridge, wardrobe, fan etc. The food was delicious (2x dinners and breakfasts), great selection of local beers, a 2-minute walk to the beach and genuinely fantastic views over the old town, beach and bay. Negatives: no parking on site, although free parking is available in front of the hotel (subject to availability), and the hotel restaurant can get fully booked (even if you are staying). Summary: absolutely loved this hotel, the food, the view - all pretty much perfect! We wanted to stay longer, and we will likely be returning!
